Queensland

ABC Friends Queensland traces its roots to 1995, when interest in forming a state branch emerged through meetings in Brisbane. Incorporated in December that year, it operated as Friends of the ABC until 2016, when the name was formally changed to align with other state branches. Members are engaged through a quarterly newsletter and regular email updates. ABC Friends (Qld) Inc. is an Incorporated Association governed by a volunteer Management Committee elected annually, supported by volunteer Working Groups. As a community-based organisation, it is wholly dependent on member support.
